well i had to get a zephyr to go with the consul and the zodiac didnt i!? A 1965 Zephyr 4. mot'd and taxed, loads of old bills and reciepts, owned by some old boy since 1976! - it hadnt wanted for anything in the time he owned it except for a good ol polish! its goodwood green in colour and in good running order and a very good interior, yeh it needs some poo stuffed in it in a few places but hey its 43 years old. she drove the 100 mile journey home last night with no problems and only used a quarter of a tank of fuel! A BIG thanks to mrbowtie who very kindly took me to Kent to collect it even after Bod had delayed him getting off Felixstowe docks in good time she's gonna get a good tcut and polish at the weekend and the crossplys that are on there are gonna make way for the big steel wheels and radial tyres off me zody til thats done. a few pics after i washed her tonight, she does look a bit better in the pics tho
well we (me and Steve) tcut and polished it last Friday and it hasnt stopped raining since! today, a new battery, 2 new tyres, bled and adjusted clutch, unfortunatly i fink it needs a new clutch, pedal is quite stiff the clutch bites at the top and sometimes on pull away it snatches so i'm gonna order a new clutch and pay a nice man to fit it cos i cant be arsed! me and Steve put the bigger wheels on today and it looks much better than it did with the skinny crossplys! oh yeh, and some furry dice!
And 3 days ago i sold it! shame really cos i did like the car but i got hacked off with that friggin clutch! so now i'm going to concentrate on the consul again, to be truthfull it doesnt need much but i dont think it'll be ready in time for manningtree next week so it looks like i'll be coming along without a car again unless i find a cheap runaround in the meantime....
