My 1302 Beetle project has been going ok until now. Ive hurt my back really badly (already had surgery, think ive really done it now!!!) and theres one part i just cant do now. I need some welding done on the centre tunnel underneath. Im happy to give someone a drink for doing it, i just cant afford business rates. This project already owes me over 800 quid and im running out of cash. Its a panel about 30" x 8". I have a mig here ready to go, i have car ramps and ill get some steel as i used the last bit a couple of days ago. I really hate asking for help cos i know most of you guys are busy doing your own cars but i would really appreciate any help or advice. Im in Ipswich btw. I cant drive it cos it has no MOT/tax yet. Just noticed from the engine hoist thread that youre in notts!!!!!! Crikeys mate i couldnt ask you to do that!!!!!!!!! Thats VERY generous of you but the money i paid you wouldnt even cover your petrol let alone grub etc. Id offer a bed but were full of kids. Grub would be on tap without question, but still, Nottinghamshire....Mate its a much appreciated offer but i really couldnt see you travel all that way just to weld up a rusty bug.

well steve the offers there, i love a run out and the zephs nearly ready to go to paint, as i say if your stuck give me a bell, thats what its all about, no payment but believe me i can eat an house side and go back for seconds, lol

Thats good of you shrek but completely understandable mate. Hope everythings going ok with you by the way. My backs a bit easier now but i still dont fancy laying under a car welding it. Luckily i have a chap said he could do it on monday for a 50. He lives about 2 miles away so he's tackling it after he finishes work monday afternoon. Thanks Mk3zeph for your offer mate, its good to know that theres always decent folk around to help out. The same applies this end mate, if youre stuck and theres something i can help with, just shout and ill do my best. (that applies to all turtles by the way). I know most people on here work a lot so its not always easy to find time to muck in with someone elses motor.
