Forgotton i'd been to see thissaw and old post by Mitch that reminded me. I was a bit dissapointed as the 'powers' stopped anyone from seeing the car exhumed, and the whole thing was turned into a bit of a political who's who with the local politicians getting their pics in the local rag with Boyd 'Bloody' Coddswallop. (sorry, not a fan of chequebook rodding) So the showing was marred by Boyd's boys all crowding around the car as it was unveilled, and some Tulsa politican running around like a 3YO kid in a candy store (you just never seem to have a deer rifle around when you really need one!) Yep, that thing was rusty. Doors were rusted shut, interior was non-existant and you could see a water mark on the bodyside about 3 feet from the ground. Amazingly though, the front tyres were still holding air!!! Don't know if anyone actually claimed it in the end (there was a raffle in '58 for the winner or his/her decendants to win the 'brand new Plymouth' in 2007). Did anyone else get out to Tulsa to see it?.......................Dave.
