Ive been offered a '75 Viva HC with just 32K genuine on the clock. MOT'd and taxed. What could i do with it (my arrrse is shut by the way) to give it a bit more cred? (is that possible with a viva?) You know me, like summat a bit different.....

If it,s in as good a nick as it looks , put it in a classic car mag for sale,or viva owners club, make some good money and buy something else, you might be surprised at what it will fetch.
Looks nice, is it a 1256? The expert on these is Fly - Mandi's husband. Just take the white pinstripe off, lower it a bit and put wide steel wheels or wolfraces on it.
Well, i bought it today. Drove it home from Norwich without a hitch. Theres a wheel bearing humming happilly and a slight flat spot but otherwise its all good. Its got a new carb on it so probably wants setting up???? quick photoshop jobby

looks a good solid car Steve. i had a chevette company car once that had 1256 lump and i used to thrash the guts out of it and it was good for over a ton! That viva looks to good to do much to and as said in another post perhaps you should sell it for a quick profit. if not, lower it, decent set of rims and satin black with big iron cross on the doors! 4 baked bean cans poking out the back, k&n induction kit, lambo doors, lexus rear lights, boom box sound system...
not really, forget the last bit, just having a laugh
what bearing has gone Steve? i think i got a pair of bearings for the front (dont know if rear different?)and i think i might just have a set of brake shoes ? would have to check my stock first tho!
Its quite loud so im not sure at the mo which one it is. Because the car is so basic, it whines around the inside like a fart in a church. Will have to jack it up and shake its wheels about a bit and see what i come up with. Cheers for that Tony.

you sure it a bearing? it could be a knackered diff, gearbox or engine? OR all three!!!! just joking again, get the jack and pull it about a bit and then tell me where it wobbles
Those wheels look wrong on it, needs wolfies or revolutions or the original rostyles from a Magnum or Firenza. I know of a set of Dunlop alloys for one if your interested, i can ask if they're for sale.
I'm liking that. because of all that overcrown on the panels you can easily fit 7" rims on Vivas without even having to perform any arch surgey...and that's with a healthy dose of slam! There was a lad running round here with 8" Allycats on a standard ride-height Viva.
Drop the lot, keep the yellow paint and stick some gloss black 7" Weller Motorsport steelies on it, add some period decals for a sort of mini-NASCAR look.
God, this sounds like a Retro-Rides post. sigh.

If all else fails mate...yank the suspension of it and stuff it under a pop... shame that steves Jag has gone you could have had the IRs out the back of that.....lol
Honestly though, don't bling it as that would just look like it has been chaved up...go the rostyle/firenza wheels route...something classic and knock it down 2 inches....give it a good polish and get some nice subtle pinstriping done on it... maybe get rid of all the handles and fit twin headlights.... subtle mods nothing too gareish...

Me mate i spoke to earlier today reckons i should satin black the bonnet, chuck wolfies on it, (larger rears) drop the front an inch to two inches and leave the rear as is. I then thought about a three inch wide satin black stripe accross the boot and down the rear arches. Could look kind of "Mopar". waddya reckon peeps??? I'll try and potatoshop it.
