nothing yet mate, but there is still time. i imagine i will be ringing chucky on the wednesday before the nats to say i have found some ratty old ford for sale and he'll pick me and and we will go get it. thats what generally happens and its becoming tradition now.
this year is going to be good...please help with the stocking of the new bar area we have and you must bring loads of jokes and fun ....or you not allowed to park with us... its going to be good good good....
Is there going to be a burn out competition this year? Are they still going to allow those annoying tot rods to drive about?
no burnouts as far as i know, they havnt had them for a few years now, shame. And yes them brat rods are eveywhere! you need eyes in the back of your head trying to avoid them!
maybe they should give the tot rods a place to cruise without coming onto the main drive ways so we can just cruise, stop chat cruise park and drink!!!!!!!!!!!!!! burnout comp would be great. come on nasc do something we all want.
Bad manners were good at the NATS a few years ago and wouldnt mind seeing them again but i would love it if the NASC splashed the cash and got the stray cats!
yes i remember badness, they were great too. who remembers tom jones? got booed off stage and some people were even throwing cans of beer at him! not as bad as the ramonas tho
Quite true. At the NSRA event at Billing, they had special Tot Rod cruises organised, where the kids could drive around the site altogther safely and everyone knew what time this was going on. The result was that the kids didn't cruise round on their own getting on peoples nerves so much and when they did they were supervised.
Changing the subject slightly, I hear that the UK Kustoms will be putting on special stunt show at this years Nats..
I heard a rumour there will be no un-insured vehicles aloud i.e. tot rods cos if they t-bone a 70 grand rod then its the nasc who has to pay out. its just a rumour but it makes sense. viva won't be done in time (reminds me, i must start that ) we will have to try and get it so old skool will camp next to turtle speed and we will all chip in and get an anti mods and rodders banner made up which covers our whole camp

Ask Mike about the ins and outs of insurance and car clubs, he has been working on sorting out the Humber CLubs public liabilty insurance. But very, very important.
last year they where haveing loads of fun whizzing around ...let them have there own little bit some where so they dont get hurt... luca and anthony wants one..but i do agree with the insurance you must have...
That's why the NRSA's idea of the organised tot rod cruises seems to work, but then you need people to organise these things and then I guess you are into child protection issues.
Mike was saying about the insurance issue, it's so much a problem if for example a £70k rod gets damaged, it's when someone is seriously hurt or worse and needs to claim for several million pounds. If the club doesn't have the money to pay up, then it's the members that have to put their hands in their pockets. Apparently this has happened to one club. A very scarry thought!
This is why the UK Kustoms are not allowed to roof chop klub members cars, as they did back in the good old days.
They may be annoying sometimes but lets remember those tot rod drivers are the rodders of the future. We wouldn't want them defecting now would we!!!!!
This is very true and i think it is great for the kids but they should not be aloud to go on the showground road because they are so low down and hard to see plus they have no road sense and often just cut across in front of cars, nobody wants their car damaged, the kids will be upset if their tot rods are damaged and worse still one of the little rascals might get hurt. I wouldnt dream of trying to stop them from having their fun but it should be done in designated areas.
I THINK THE PARENTS WHO BUY THE KIDS THE LITTLE RODS , SHOULD ALL TAKE IT IN TURNS TO WATCH THE KIDDIES THEM SELFS...NOT RELY ON OTHER PEOPLE TO VOLUNTER TO DO IT ...NO ONE WANTS TO SPOIL THEIR FUN ...GOD IF I COULD I WOULD RIDE IN ONE BUT DONT THINK I WOULD BE ABLE TO GET OUT OF IT THOUGH ....OLD AGE... OR JUST BEING FAT. HAHAHHA
you miserable bunch of old gits!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! is it so long ago that you can't remember being their age !!!!!!!!!! they are the future !!!!! protect their love of rods !!!!!!! or there won't be a bloody future !!!!!!!!!! only hot hutches

dont be a sack bowtie, you've completley mis understood what we are saying!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you've never cruised the site of the NATS so you wouldnt know!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! we know they are the future rodders, we've even said that in the posts if you read them again, all we are saying is them kids just need to keep off the road before there is an accident!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ANYWAY, where you been hiding??
on a better note, if the weather is better at the weekend i shall be getting on with the bar.
about bloody time! i've got 4 bar stools to take(well dell has in his dayvan!) all we need now is a barsteward (i know several of them too, but had better not go there!)
Want to go to the nats but I have to go to St. Barts on 16th august to havea pacemaker fitted so dont know if I will be able to drive so soon after the op.
I am turning into the 6 million dollar man ( but at the rate the dollar is falling thats about £13. 46!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
