Just e-mailed Custom car to get our show on the events page (hope i didn't leave it too late) while i was on their i sent this letter hoping to get it on the mail page.

Dear CC,
Been reading the mag since i was a kid in the 70's and my mum used to draw bra's on the models before she'd let me read it!
Me and some mates have recently set up a website and car group called Turtlespeed, the name dates back to a scooter club we had in the 80's. We are a group of car nuts who are fed up with the politics that you get in clubs and just want to have fun with our cars. Our web address is www.turtlespeed.co.uk and i like to think we are a chilled out bunch and would welcome anyone to join our forum. As i said, WE ARE NOT A CLUB and never want to be BUT if you are at a show and are on your own you are welcome to camp where you see the turtlespeed banner. As i said, just a group of people who want to enjoy their cars. We are also organising our first show in Southend, Essex at the B52 club, which is a 50's diner owned by a rodder with parking for 200 cars. It will be held on April fools day for more details look on our site.

i hope you used a crayon to draft the letter out mitch. you know your not allowed anything sharp!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

good idea.
i will email andy willsher ( he did a shoot on my camaro at last years damn yankees) and see if he or any other freelance photographer could turn up for the show

Know what you mean Mitch,i got up this morning at 7 o clock to take the car back in to matey,took the cover off,got everything ready,phone rings and he cancels,put everything back and put the cover back on.Now were going to be another week behined.
pi55ed off ,fed up,the funs rapidly running out of this build.might take up knitting instead.

Keep at it mate, my car went off the road for a couple of weeks October 2004!!!!  but when its done...ohhh yea

well mine has gone off the road now with what we thought was going to be a fairly straight forward job has turned into a not quite such a straight forward job!! It is taking up space in Tailfins garage who is thankfully helping me with it , the rear brakes wernt working to well (they havnt worked well in the 4 years i've had the car!), and simply there wasnt any pad left, they were down to the metal AND the pistons in the calipers have seized solid! Driver abuse i've been told! As we have discovered it is not a straight forward job because of the positioning of the brakes and we have had to take off the whole rear axle. at least it should be done ok for the B52

Cool, they did edit it a fair bit but i'm not complaining. I didn'tr send those pics with it so they must have come on here and used the pics on the site.
Just hope the weather is like today for April 1st.
