More Humber advice needed!!!!

As you may know I was going to fit a V8 into the septic, but have decided to spend the money on wheels and interior work. My engine is knackered but i've seen a Mk3 Sceptre engine on e-bay. My car is a mk2 I think the mk3 engine is identical except for being tilted 10% does anyone know if it will go straight in? Will it cause any trouble as I will be fitting it straight and not tilted as it should be? Help!

Yup, should be a straight swap.

You might need to use the carbs and exhaust manifold off your old engine, as I think the exhaust might foul the chassis leg (but you may ge away with it) and the inlet manifold is built for the 10 deg tilt, the carbs won't work updraught!!!

Use your old bellhousing and box, otherwise you'll have the gearlever coming out of the side!

hi mitch,  Fly seems to think you may have to change/modify oil pick up pipe as it was designed for engine at a different angle. otherwise a low/no oil pressure situation may occur when cornering... and we know what happens then!

Please forgive my lack of knowlegde on things oily, but would this is be due to the difference in the shape between the mk2 & the Mk3? As the Mk3 is more boxy than the mk2.
